About the Designer
I'm Maria E. Marcus, owner of Little Threads Inc. and designer behind Marco & Lizzy and Baby Threads. My journey in children's fashion began as a young mom, eager to dress my daughter in charming and quality clothing. I took hand smocking classes and my passion for designing children's clothing began. As my designs started to receive attention I was encouraged by friends to share my designs. I opened my first store in El Salvador, sourcing the finest fabrics from Europe.
After selling my business, I took a break before deciding I wanted to get back to my passion. I launched Marco & Lizzy, a brand inspired by my children, and Baby Threads, a luxury baby layette collection made from 100% Peruvian Pima cotton. Over the years my designs have been showcased at prestigious events such as Javits Center in New York, Pitti Bimbo in Florence, and Bubble Show in London, establishing a strong international presence.
I now focus on the U.S. market and you can find our designs in showrooms in Atlanta and Dallas. My passion for children's fashion continues to drive me, and I’m proud to continue to design timeless, high-quality clothing for children.
